Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a skincare technique that uses a sterile surgical blade to gently exfoliate the surface of the epidermis. This method removes dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (also known as "peach fuzz"), revealing smoother and more radiant skin.

Contrary to popular belief, dermaplaning does not affect the structure, color, or thickness of the hair. The fine, soft hairs that are shaved off during dermaplaning grow back with the same texture and at the same rate as before. The treatment only affects the skin's surface and does not alter the underlying hair follicle.

30 to 45 minutes, depending on the treated area.

Immediate resumption of activities.

A slight redness may appear immediately after the treatment, similar to a mild sunburn. This typically subsides within a few hours. Some people may experience light skin peeling, similar to mild flaking. Rarely, small breakouts or irritations may occur, but these usually resolve quickly with proper care.
